I know, it’s a bonehead thing to do, a rookie mistake, but I’m fixing it.
Until now, the books had straight quotes, left-edge justification, author and title on each page, and page numbers on the upper-right of each page, (as seen on the left).
Now I’m making them smart quotes, left and right-edge justification, author on one page / title on the other, and page numbers on the upper-‘outside edge’ of each page, (as seen on the right).
The books should now look like they weren’t designed by monkeys.
(Actually the process takes less than an hour for the print and kindle corrections, but I’m re-reading them, both for enjoyment and to find commas to kill!)
